In 2008 – 2010, A Rocha partnered with Conservation International’s Rapid Assessment Programme to explore wild places with the aim of of discovering and protecting new species.
Together with Papuan biologists and other specialists we surveyed some of the most remote and unexplored mountains in Papua New Guinea. MORE

CONSERVATION INTERNATIONAL'S RAPID ASSESSMENT PROGRAMME (RAP)
RAP is an innovative biological inventory programme designed to use scientific information to catalyze conservation action. RAP teams use methods which enable the rapid assessment of plants and animals in highly biodiverse areas and they also train local scientists in these survey techniques.
